Round-A-Bouts and more

Hello to all!  It is about 5:30am in Australia!  Someone in our hotel apparently thought that to get the operator you should dial room 180... not sure how that works!  Anyway I am now up so I thought I would give you an update.

Easter Island:  Easter Island was incredible.  The Moai statues are beautiful.  We were escorted through the island and introduced to the statues by the actual archeologists that excavated them.

Samoa:  We were in Samoa for less than 24 hours but it was amazing.  The people are extremely nice.  We started with a buffet dinner and a traditional Fia Fia dance.  Then the next morning we had a great breakfast of fresh fruit.  Then we went to the final home of Robert Louis Stevenson.  He was also laid to rest there however; it is a 45 minute hike up a mountain to his resting place and time didn't permit us to go.  We left his home and went straight to the airport and flew to Australia.

The bed where R.L. Stevenson wrote.  He was too ill to write at a desk in his final years.

Kitchen, traditional detached from homes in Samoa due to the heat and chance of fire.

Australia:  We arrived last night.  Had a wine tasting a delicious dinner.  There was a special guest at our dinner as well!  His picture is below.  We are headed out today to the Great Barrier Reef.
